Unmag #1 Soon Enough...

If you're reading this, chances are you received an email or card or cd or met us at myspace...welcome to the "official" site.

Unmag 'zine #1 is close to wrapped up and is off to the printers as soon as all our pieces are done. We'll be featuring C.C. Chapman, kite, 8 mm fuzz, Finian McKean (of Push Kings fame), Alliston Atkinson, and a whole list of others (including our "Yourspace" page) and doing local art and show reviews as well...

We have six shows planned right now for the future but we're willing to play twelve more...we're trying out new guitarists this week and hopefully will be in a bar near you soon enough. Check our show dates here for now.

Enjoy the week -

Hot Faced Hallu Eyes...

Flag Day Show...

Thanks again to the Middle East for the show last night...THE SHILLS made the show - they've found their niche to work, and what an amazing set...look for them in Unmag and before they get too big for Tues night sets at the ME. Seriously they're amazing. We want to play more shows with them...

ADERBAT brought their proto-folk/fusion set to the stage. Very post-REM with a folk guitar slant...Philly boys too.

THE LIST EXISTS took eleven years to set up...horn, falsetto vocals, and five synth pianos with accompanying drum tracks...

After set delays and all our friends, other bands, and their fans left, ULYSSES took the stage FINALLY at 11:49 (11:30 to 12:15 was the slot) to a crowd of THREE people and milling members of the other bands I think I guilted into staying (a few car loads of Ulysses fans were stopped (one arrested?) on the way to the show hours before, and the extra 30 who said yes to coming never showed, or left after the other bands went on forever with improv fusion at 11 o'clock at night).

Fuck. No money, no fanbase, and for being headliners, we felt like shit. BUT WE PLAYED a great set...we'll upload it soon enough. I mean a really great set - all electric, three piece, raw, and well miked...you'll hear for yourself online since no one was really there.

Oh by the way DEEGAN of FETISH CHICKEN was our hero of the night...thanks again Plato.

Keep it unreal,

Jlysses
